Story: Revenge! That is all that Scott Tyler can think about. Revenge on the man he holds responsible for the death of his girlfriend Julie. The police can not help him. So he Streaminges Frank Househover until he knows all of his habits. And soon Scott finds out much more than he would like to know after a videotape from his dead girlfriend appears. Lost in Vienna, Austria (2013) Review by Bobart from Austria
This is by far the best film from filmmaker/actor Wolf Morrison. Knownfor his funny versions of Trash Films here is his first serious film,an homage to the works of David Lynch.
He himself gives a solid performance: first he is the womanizer, whomeets the lovely girl Julie in a bar and takes her home after savingher from being beaten by the bar owner, but he also understands herfeelings of being lost in the city. After her death he becomes thesensitive one, who misses his big love and finally the one who takeshis revenge.
But it is lead actress Julia Prock-Schauer who steals almost everyscene. She is the shy, sensitive Julie that Scott fell in love with andshe is also her sexy twin sister Karen, a femme fatal who seduces Scottjust to put him down on the next day. Her performance is justoutstanding!
And, of course, every good film has a great villain and Seth Raven asMr. Househover is excellent is his role. There is one fine scene, whenScott enters his place to take his revenge and Househover just laughsat him.
Sonja Grenz as Petra, who tries to help Scott (they once had arelationship)and Astrid Vineyard as Stacy, the reporter who foundScott's lost tapes complete this excellent cast.
"Lost in Vienna, Austria" is so much more than just a simple revenge-story. There are some really great filmed surreal nightmare sequencesin it and especially when Scott, Petra or Stacy look at some lost videofootage the viewer is never sure if what he sees is real or just avideo.
A story somewhere between Film Noir, Mystery Thriller and Drama with abeautiful cinematography, cool edits and an excellent Soundtrackbetween classical score, Jazz and Singer/Songwriter stuff and not toforget the fine performances from the actresses and actors make thisfilm to something special. This is pure Cinemagic!
